Armenia acting healthcare minister apologizes to parents of missing servicemen, says it is her “fault”
Armenia’s acting minister of healthcare Anahit Avanesyan apologized to the relatives of missing servicemen for not visiting the places where the remains and bodies of killed servicemen were kept after some transportations and seeing in what conditions they are being kept.
"It is my fault," she said.
"I convince that in the past year the Forensic-Medical Center did everything possible to ensure the forensic-medical examinations and identification process," she said, adding that a service investigation will be conducted related to yesterday’s revelation that bodies of killed servicemen are being kept secretly in Scientific-Practical Center of Forensic Medicine in improper conditions.
The acting minister said "the ministry has always tried to ensure transparent information and is always in touch with the relatives of the victims."
Avanesyan said today the Forensic Medicine Center will again publish information about the course and results of the expertise of bodies and remains.
"I would like to note that the bodies and remains in the morgues have already passed expertise and the results have always been available for the relatives," the acting minister said.
