Ex-minister says 3 years necessary to re-equip the army

The army development phases have been corresponded to the state long-term governance phases, ex-minister of defense, member of Armenia bloc Seyran Ohanyan told the reporters in Goris today.

“It is obvious that in these conditions it is necessary to implement urgent organizational issues – restore the whole course and discipline in the army within a year. Another three years will be necessary for solving the re-equipment issues. We are in conditions when the tempos of long-term governance must be accelerated,” Ohanyan said.

Referring to the border furnishing issues, Ohanyan stressed that they do not have calculations on how much the border added, what issues are there as they are not in the state governance system.

He said after winning in the elections short time is needed to make calculations and minimal term to reinforce the borders.
