Stronger shield and toothpick necessary to drive away people trying to use their “steel tool” against us – Serzh Sargsyan

Today the defeatist stated that the velvet revolution has ended and already a steel revolution has launched, Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan stated at the meeting with supporters in Vayots Dzor.

"I don't know what steel revolution means but during the three years we have witnessed the luxury of the so-called velvet revolution. We understood that “velvet revolution” means dividing people, dissemination of lies by key figures, collapse of our security system, handing over 75% of Karabakh, killing thousands of people for the head of the velvet revolution stay on his seat. We understood that “velvet revolution” means occupation of Armenia’s part and inability to defend own border," he said.

Sargsyan said if by saying "steel revolution" the defeatist means intensification of these processes, then everyone should prepare a shield from a stronger material to confront it.

"And not only shield but a toothpick with which we will drive away all those people who try to use their steel tool against us. We have no other way, in the opposite case, we will fill the rows of peoples, who being few times more in number, do not have statehood and remained just in the history textbooks," Sargsyan said.

He voiced conviction that the wish to live free and the spirit has remained in Armenian people.
