Defeated authorities grasp at any straw – “I Have the Honor” headquarter representative

A number of staff members of “I Have the Honor” headquarters, including Gor Sedrakyan, included in the election list were arrested on June 19, representative of the headquarter Davit Harutyunyan said in a statement.

“The body that made the decision to arrest acted absolutely illegally and in Gor Sedrakyan’s case committed crime under Article 309 of RA Criminal Code,” Harutyunyan said in the statement.

He stressed that the steps taken by the authorities who appeared in agony are aimed at impeding the activity of the opposition on the election day.

“Naturally, the mentioned illegality has been appealed in accordance with the law, but the investigators did not show up reasoning with being busy, though 7-8 investigators are engaged in the group,” Harutyunyan said, adding that they even petitioned to postpone the court session till 11pm to continue keeping the representatives of the headquarters behind the bars.

“The abovementioned comes to prove once again that the defeated authorities are “grasping at any straw,”” he said, adding that despite pressures the court was at its height and gave investigators an hour to appear in the court.
