No final decision about parliamentary mandates made yet – Kocharyan on taking the seats in the new parliament
"Armenia" bloc has not made a final decision over accepting or not the mandates, leader of the bloc Robert Kocharyan said at a news conference today.
"I consider that we have received very serious, new opportunities to continue our fight," Kocharyan said.
He said they are aimed to continue the struggle, adding that the parliamentary struggle will only strengthen and not replace the street struggle.
"We have big experience of street struggle as well, and I believe this combination will only strengthen our opportunities," Kocharyan noted.
He also added that these elections have essentially changed the political landscape.
Speaking about himself, Kocharyan said he is more a man of executive power and does not imagine himself in the legislature.
He stressed that the opinions over it vary in the team with some telling him to use the parliamentary platform for political struggle and some saying he should not.
"I do not have such a wish. I am more inclined not doing it. But we have not made a final decision yet," he said, adding that he finds it difficult to imagine himself in the parliament
