Expert predicts possible scenarios of regional developments
Expert in international affairs Suren Sargsyan has presented in a Facebook post possible scenarios of regional developments regarding Turkey and Azerbaijan.
According to him, one of the possible scenarios is signing of big peace treaty that will include – recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, refusal of any territorial demands from Azerbaijan, establishment of diplomatic relations, opening borders, clarification of Armenian-Azerbaijani border (mainly at the expense of the Armenian territory), Armenia may be obliged not to have army at all but small police troops (with the example of capitulated Japan after World War II).
Regarding Turkey the expert wrote about possible Armenian-Turkish reconciliation agreement which will envisage – refusing Armenian Genocide claims, recognition of Turkey's territorial integrity, refusal of territorial demands from Turkey, editing Declaration of Independence of Armenian, removal of Mount Ararat image from the Coat of Arms, opening borders, establishment of diplomatic relations, conceding corridor tying Turkey and Azerbaijan, exclusion of presence of military base of other country in the territory of Armenia that may threaten the security of Turkey or Azerbaijan.
"Against all this Armenia will be promised inflow of Turkish-Azerbaijani capital which won't have "big investments" form, but will more be "economic expansion" with Georgia's example. I repeat this is one of the possible scenarios the possibility of implementation of which depends also from the course of east-west global competition in the Black Sea region," the expert wrote.
