In case of violations there should also be responsibility for them - My Step deputy on developments over Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant
Economist, Armenia's NA deputy Babken Tunyan says it is difficult to say whether Armenia will document double-digit growth or not.
"Making forecasts is very unthankful and complicated work but it is already obvious that the economic growth will be higher than predicted before," Tunyan told Aysor.am, adding that there is no need to focus on mechanical index only.
He urged to avoid concrete numbers for a while.
The deputy said that the construction and public services sector are being restored quite speedily.
"But it is agreed with the deep decline of the sectors during the past year with the turnover coming down to almost zero. This year the loss is being restored, this is why the index is higher," he said.
Tunyan noted that all the sectors have recorded growth. He said the export has document growth as well.
Referring to the developments in Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant, Tunyan said it is more a legal issue than economic.
“Indeed, it is not good when entrepreneurs and law enforcement bodies are being related, but when investigative bodies or law enforcers are carrying out certain actions it means they have grounds irrespective of the circumstance how important the company is for Armenia or how much income it ensures for Armenia or its budget. If there are violations, there should be a responsibility for these violations," the deputy said.
