An energy market liberalization training held in Yerevan
The Armenian energy system will gradually transfer to a new model of energy market starting 1st of February, 2022.
The “Energy: technology and innovation” training course held in Yerevan on January 18-21, 2022 was dedicated to expanding of the understanding of market liberalization and deepening the knowledge of basic principles of decision-making based on the latest technologies that are deployed in various fields of energy generation.
The training program was designed by the University College London (UCL) Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources faculty. The training was conducted by the Executive Coaching and Training Institute (ECTI).
The lectures were delivered by the instructors who got their training at the UCL Bartlett School-organized ToT program.
Over 30 professionals from energy system enterprises participated in this training course. Four of those participants were granted the ECTI merit-based scholarship.
The Scholarship was established in 2020 in memory of Rima Khachatryan, an educator, Honored Pedagogue of Armenia, a strong advocate of lifelong learning, an author of textbooks that have been used by a dozen of colleges for more than a decade.
It allows the scholars to participate in the training courses in line with modern educational standards and to adapt to the rapidly changing demands of the labor market through lifelong learning and self-development.
