A new phase of the educational program “Viva University” has started
For 8 years, students from different universities of Armenia have been provided with an opportunity for self-improvement at Viva-MTS. During the two-month trainings within the educational program “Viva University”, students gain practical skills, specific professional knowledge, and most importantly, valuable experience. For the second time this year, the Company has created this starting inception for 22 more students. In his welcome address, Viva-MTS General Director mentioned as an important achievement that several students from the first stream of the program now work at the Company. It’s a crucial indicator of the program’s effectiveness and high results.
“I’ve said this before, but I want to repeat it. I wish I had this opportunity when I was young. 30 years ago, I would have been fascinated to receive what you will receive in this program. It will save you 5 years of your life: you won’t have to overthink where to apply, how and in what field to get a job, what kind of work environment seek… 5 years is a significant time period. Here you will work with one of the best professional teams in the telecommunications sector and you will be provided an opportunity to make the most of our specialists’ knowledge and experience, in the format of teamwork, which is impossible in the format of formal education. Your being here is incredible. Appreciate it and ask as many questions as you can, and get the maximum benefit from this program,” Viva-MTS General Director Armen Avetisian said.
Gor Hakobyan who is from Gyumri learnt about the program “Viva University” from social media. Despite being relatively new to the field of customer service, he has already managed to get to know it in and out. He understands the importance of providing accurate information to customers and meeting their requirements. For Gor, delivering high-level service to subscribers is the highest priority because the objective is to achieve client satisfaction.
“Though still new in the field, I have already learnt the importance of treating customers with politeness. In general, regardless of the Company, when dealing with customers, it’s essential to be patient, conscientious, and responsible. Companies have their values and principles, and their employees, being parts of them, should follow them too. The entire process seems very easy to subscribers, and you grasp the real image only when you become part of it. To you, you are the only customer, you visit a service center, expecting everyone to take care of your needs. But when you join the team, you see thousands of subscribers, and feel the challenge to deal with people with different personalities,” said Gor.
The willingness of Viva-MTS to share its expertise is a significant investment in fostering stronger employee-employer relationships. The students of this phase of “Viva University” will graduate at the end of the year. The experience and knowledge acquired during the program will allow them to enter the job market and achieve high results. Besides, if there are vacancies in the relevant fields, the bests of them will be provided with a job at Viva-MTS.
In the current year, 44 students from various universities participated in two phases of two-month trainings both in Yerevan and in regions. The first phase focused on IT, sales, and customer service. The participants of the second phase applied for customer service and are now undergoing specialized courses in different service centers of Viva-MTS.
