"Spayka" Threatens Our Livelihood: Export Truck Drivers Protest
Truck drivers involved in international transportation are protesting in Yerevan, accusing the company "Spayka" of monopolizing the freight transportation market and threatening their livelihoods.
According to the protesters, "Spayka" is effectively pushing individual drivers out of the market by signing exclusive contracts with foreign freight forwarders.
"We took out loans to buy trucks and support our families, and now 'Spayka' is trying to ruin us," one protester complained, as reported by "Factinfo."
The drivers claim that due to "Spayka's" actions, around 800 families are on the brink of financial ruin. They are demanding that the authorities intervene and take measures to ensure fair competition in the freight transportation market.
"We are not asking for any privileges," the protesters assert. "We just want the state to create equal conditions for all market participants."
