Republican party’s rating list varies from current lawmakers to unemployed
The Republican party’s list of candidates includes both party members and those not belonging to any party. The first ten in the list are well-known republicans with only Davit Shahnazaryan and Menua Harutyunyan not being the party members.
The rating candidates of the party are both known to the public and not. The majority of the candidates are unemployed having lost posts after change of power.
In Yerevan No 1 constituency the former ruling force nominated 13 candidates among them chairman of the NA Finance and Budget Standing Committee Gagik Minasyan. The other candidates are unemployed.
In Yerevan No 2 constituency the Republicans nominated 12 candidates, including MP Hayk Babukhanyan, Galust Sahakyan’s son Arman Sahakyan, first in the list, former defense minister Vigen Sargsyan, Hayk Mamijanyan, chairman of the Republican’s youth wing and NA lawmaker Margarit Yesayan.
In Yerevan No 3 constituency the Republicans nominated Vahan Babayan, chairman of Reformers party and lawmaker Arayik Harutyunyan.
In Yerevan No 3 constituency the Republicans nominated MPs Armen Ashotyan, Karine Atchemyan, political, military figure Davit Shahnazaryan, Gevorg Gevorgyan.
In No 5 constituency (Ararat province) the former ruling force nominated lawmaker Murad Muradyan, head of Surenavan community Karo Karapetyan, head of Lanjazat community Hrayr Hakobjanyan and others.
In No 6 constituency (Armavir province) the party nominated former governor Ashot Ghahramanyan. The other four candidates are not known to public.
In No 7 constituency (Aragatsotn province) the party again nominated former governor Sargis Sahakyan and Gegham Petrosyan, NA vice chairman’s consultant.
In No 8 constituency (Gegharkunik province) the Republicans nominated former deputy governor Karen Hakobyan, the other 6 are not known to the public.
In No 9 constituency (Lori province) the Republicans nominated NA faction head Vahram Baghdasaryan, NA vice chairman Arpine Hovhannisian and NA vice chairman Eduard Sharmazanov.
In No 10 constituency (Kotayk province) the former ruling force nominated former deputy defense minister Artak Davtyan. The other 7 candidates are not known to public.
In No 11 constituency (Shirak province) the list comprises of 13 people which are not known to public.
In No 12 constituency (Syunik and Vayots Dzor provinces) the party nominated journalist Menua Harutyunyan, singer Shushan Petrosyan, MP Hermine Naghdalyan and others.
In No 13 constituency (Tavush province) the party nominated former governor Hovik Abovyan and actress Anahit Moutafyan.
